1. A Love Story

    If she doesn’t write back she’s an idiot.  He should laugh at himself, at her, at the whole situation, say he was wasted when he replied and meant his reply for someone else, she’ll be so dazzled by his handling of the whole mess she’ll send him the original message again and mean it this time.   And if she isn’t able to laugh at it all, he’ll know he should move on. :)

    That was my reply. Keep it cool, but make sure she knows it’s definitely mutual. Perfect reply, really. Then I got this:

    Um. I meant to send that to someone else. Why would I say that to you, Rich?

    That wasn’t quite what I hoped to hear. Felt a little like getting punched in the face, actually. By Cupid. That wanker always had it in for me. I replied:

    This is a little awkward.

    She hasn’t replied yet. Hopefully she won’t.
